Donald Trump: Suspected Charlie Kirk Shooter Now in Custody

Friday, Sept. 12 – US President Donald Trump confirmed that the suspected shooter of conservative political activist Charlie Kirk is in custody.

“I think with a high degree of certainty, we have him in custody,” Trump said in an interview on Fox & Friends news program.

“I think we’re in great shape,” he continued. “He’s in custody.”

On Thursday, Sept. 11, the FBI released a video of the shooter who murdered Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10. According to the authorities, the suspect jumped from a rooftop and ran away from the location. Among the evidence collected from the rooftop are shoe impressions, a forearm imprint, and a palm print. The shooter’s weapon and ammunition were recovered from a wooded area near the university.

After showing the photos and video of the suspect, the FBI announced they would reward up to $100,000 to anyone who could provide information leading to the identification and arrest of the individual(s) responsible for the murder of the conservative political activist.

Kirk, 31, was the founder and president of Turning Point USA, a conservative student organization he launched at the age of 18 in 2012. He became a prominent voice in right-wing politics, often speaking on college campuses and appearing in national media to discuss conservative values and youth engagement. His influence extended beyond campus politics, shaping conversations on free speech, government policy, and grassroots organizing. His death leaves a notable gap in the conservative movement he helped energize at such a young age.
