Tito Sotto Regains Senate Presidency, Replacing Chiz Escudero

Monday, Sept. 8 – Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III is now the newly elected Senate President, replacing Chiz Escudero.

Sotto received 15 votes, marking his return to the position he once held from 2018 to 2022. His return comes amid controversy over the alleged misuse of billions in public funds for flood control.
