‘Congressmeow’ Kiko Barzaga Misses Route to Anti-Marcos Rally

Cavite 4th District Rep. Francisco “Kiko” Barzaga, also known as Congressmeow, got lost on his way to an anti-Marcos rally he organized in Makati City on Sunday night, Oct. 13. Instead of arriving in Forbes Park, he went to Dasmariñas Village.

“Dasmariñas Village pala napuntahan ko otw na ko sa Forbes Park waits ka lang SILG Remulla #PeoplePower,” Barzaga wrote in his Facebook.

On his TikTok, he posted a short clip of a group of motorcycles joining the said rally. Apparently, he was outside the gates of Dasmariñas Village. You can hear him saying, “Ito na ang motorcycle team natin [hehe]. Ready na at papasukin na namin ang Buendia gate ng Forbes Park.”

He aimed the camera at the guard and said “kamusta,” only to be met with a completely blank look.

Congressmeow organized the rally and hyped it online with the catchy phrase, “enter Forbes Park.” Thus, it was heavily monitored by authorities.

According to reports, more than 600 police officers were deployed to secure the exclusive village as supporters and members of the media assembled to observe whether the neophyte congressman would fulfill his earlier statements.

Though he arrived in the wrong place, Barzaga was still able to join the rally he organized.

Much like in his earlier undertakings, the young congressman drew mixed reactions. His latest move captured the attention of Atty. Jesus Falcis, known for his outspoken views on public affairs.

In his Facebook post, Falcis wrote:

“Good job daw kahit:

(1) late siya dumating

(2) mali yung unang pinuntahan niya because akala niya ang Dasmariñas Village entrance sa EDSA ay pareho sa Forbes Park entrance

(3) hindi niya napasok ang Forbes Park kahit yun ang goal niya dahil ang pera daw ng taumbayan ay nasa loob.”

“This is what happens when a person is a narcissist and is detached from reality – he deludes himself in believing a false reality,” Falcis continued.

“Sinanay kasi at spoiled ng nanay at tatay,” he added.
