Dismembered Bodies of Russian Crypto Millionaire Roman Novak and Wife Found in Dubai Desert

Roman Novak, a Russian crypto figure accused of defrauding investors in a scheme involving hundreds of millions of dollars, and his wife Anna Novak were found dead after being reportedly lured to a remote area near Hatta in the UAE. The bodies were discovered dismembered in the desert near Dubai, and the couple had vanished in early October.

Motive of Killing

Authorities identified money as the driving force behind the murder of Russian crypto millionaire Roman Novak and his wife. Some news outlets reported that the couple was lured to Dubai by people posing as investors who sought access to Novak’s cryptocurrency assets. When the group found out that his wallets were either empty or inaccessible, the plan turned violent.

Both victims were killed and dismembered, and their bodies were later discovered in the Dubai desert. Investigators believe the suspects were part of an organized crime network involved in crypto-related fraud schemes operating between Russia and the UAE.

How the Bodies Were Discovered

The couple was last seen on Oct. 2 when their driver dropped them off near a lake in the Hatta area southeast of Dubai, where they were supposed to meet potential investors. After relatives reported them missing, investigators traced mobile phone signals from Hatta to Oman and then to Cape Town, South Africa.

Their dismembered remains were later found buried in the desert near Dubai, after being moved by their captors and disposed of in containers and shallow graves.
