WWE Hall Of Famer Adam ‘Edge’ Copeland Joins AEW

Another wrestler who gained prominence in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has joined All Elite Wrestling (AEW), and it’s none other than Adam “Edge” Copeland.

The “Rated R Superstar,” who will be known his real name in AEW, made his debut AEW WrestleDream 2023. Copeland came out to save Sting and Darby Allin while they were being beat down by TNT Champion Christian Cage, Nick Wayne, and Luchasaurus.

Adam Copeland Makes His AEW Debut

Adam Copeland’s debut saw him landing his finishing move, the Spear, on Nick Wayne and Luchasaurus. Christian Cage, however, had managed to escape the ring before he could be attacked.

At the end of AEW WrestleDream, Copeland appeared to align himself with Sting and Darby Alin.

Edge’s WWE Career

The wrestler best known as Edge made his WWE television debut in 1998, and he went on to have an illustrious career with the sports entertainment company. He holds the record for most championships won in WWE history with 31 different title reigns.

Copeland likewise holds the record for most World Heavyweight Championship reigns as he won the title seven times. As for the WWE Championship, he won it four times in his career.

Aside from this, he is also the record holder for most World Tag Team Championship reigns with 12. In contrast, he only won the WWE Tag Team Championship twice.

The Canadian wrestler also won the Intercontinental Championship five times and the United States Championship only once. His title reigns make him the 14th Triple Crown Champion as well as the 7th Grand Slam Champion. Copeland is also the first Money in the Bank winner, the 2001 King of the Ring, and the 2010 Royal Rumble winner.

After initially retiring in 2011 due to neck injuries, he was inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame in 2012. He made his triumphant return to the ring during the 2020 Royal Rumble after being cleared to wrestle once more.
