[UPDATE] Apalachee High School Shooting: Alleged Shooter Identified by Authorities

Law enforcement in Georgia identified the shooter as a 14-year-old student. The GBI confirmed the name of the alleged shooter as Colt Gray during a press conference.

There were two teachers, two students, and nine injured at Apalachee High School on Wednesday morning when an alleged 14-year-old student shooter opened fire. 

Based on the investigation, the shooter entered the building at around 10:20 a.m. and opened fire. Law enforcement who were in the scene responded quickly and encountered the shooter where he dropped his weapon and surrendered. 

Gray is under the custody of authorities and has been interviewed. Motive behind the shooting has not been revealed.
