ODI World Cup 2023: Pakistan Secures 81-Run Victory Over Netherlands
Pakistan commenced their ODI World Cup 2023 campaign with a convincing 81-run triumph over the Netherlands at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Friday. Opting to bat first, Pakistan managed to amass a total of 286/10 in 49 overs, despite facing a top-order collapse. Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Rizwan emerged as the saviors for Pakistan, contributing 68 runs each. Mohammad Nawaz and Shadab Khan also made significant contributions towards the end, scoring 30-plus runs.
In response, the Netherlands made a decent start with openers Vikramjit Singh and Bas de Leede leading the charge. Vikramjit scored 52(67) before falling victim to Shadab, while Bas de Leede was dismissed by Mohammad Nawaz after scoring 67(68). Eventually, the Netherlands were bowled out for 205 in 41 overs.
