Gargoyles Live-action: Disney Hires ‘Conjuring’ Director James Wan as Producer
No amount of backlash can stop Disney from producing live-action. Now, the company has hired the Conjuring director, James Wan, to produce the series Gargoyle. He teams up with Annabelle director Gary Dauberman for a Disney+ series.
Dauberman will be the showrunner, writer, and executive producer, alongside Wan, as part of his Atomic Monster company, according to Gizmodo. The report came from the Hollywood Reporter. This is not the first time that these two worked together. In previous years, the two worked on the Annabelle films, a part of The Conjuring Universe, where Wan helped create and direct multiple movies. Meanwhile, Dauberman focused on writing Annabelle, Annabelle: Creation, and Annabelle Comes Homes.
Wan is no stranger to leading action films; his forte is helming horror movies (best examples are SAW, M3GAN, and The Nun). Probably, he can be the best man to handle the 80s cartoon series Gargoyle.
