Carlos Yulo Advances to Floor Exercise and Vault Finals at the 2025 Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Indonesia

The Olympic double gold medalist, Carlos Yulo dominated the vault event. He earned 14.900 on his first attempt and 14.600 on his second, for an impressive total of 14.750 points on Monday, Oct. 20.

On the floor exercise, Yulo also secured his spot in the finals after earning 14.566 points. It is the second-highest in the event. His routine, marked by clean tumbling passes and controlled landings, reflected the same confidence that carried him to Olympic glory.

The 25-year-old gymnast is set to compete in the floor exercise final on Friday, Oct. 24 and the vault final on Saturday, Oct, 25 at the Indonesia Arena. Despite dealing with a minor wrist injury earlier this year, Yulo’s performance proved he remains one of the most technically gifted athletes in men’s artistic gymnastics.

Officials from the Gymnastics Association of the Philippines praised Yulo’s achievement, expressing hope that he would continue his medal streak and bring pride to the country once again.
