Snoop Dogg Shares Clip of Doppelganger in Filipino Noontime Show
Legendary US rapper Calvin “Snoop Dogg” Broadus shared a clip of his doppelganger who “Drop(s) It Like It’s Hot” upon participating in a Filipino noontime show.
According to Philippine media outlet ABS-CBN, Carlos Sintyoco, a resident of Tondo, Manila, participated in the Oct. 5 episode of the network’s noontime program, “It’s Showtime,” specifically for its segment “Kalokalike,” where contestants mimic famous celebrities.
The term “Kalokalike” is a portmanteau of the Filipino term “nakakaloka,” translated in English as “weird” or “crazy”, and the word “look-alike.”

It was revealed that Broadus shared on Instagram on Tuesday (Oct. 8) ABS-CBN’s clip of Sintyoco’s performance during the show while having a conversation with the show’s co-hosts, actors Vhong Navarro, Jhong Hilario, Kim Chiu, and singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid.

It is understood that Snoop Dogg was heavily involved in the Paris Olympics earlier this week, from carrying the Olympic flame in the opening ceremony to watching several sporting events during the games to performing in the handover ceremony from Paris to Los Angeles for the 2028 Olympics.
Snoop Dogg is not the only celebrity to react to a “Kalokalike“ doppelganger, as Grammy-winning musician Bruno Mars also noticed his impersonator, named Kent Villarba, earlier that week and reposted a clip as an Instagram Story.

“It’s Showtime“ began airing on ABS-CBN in 2009 as a mere 30-minute talent show. It later developed into the network’s flagship two-and-a-half-hour weekday and Saturday noontime entertainment program. It continues to compete with its rival, the legacy show “Eat Bulaga,“ presented by former Philippine Senator Tito Sotto and comedians Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon.
The program shifted online as a result of ABS-CBN’s network franchise shutdown in 2020 after criticisms it received from former President Rodrigo Duterte and his supporters. “It’s Showtime“ has since branched out into other networks as part of several distribution agreements, including ABS-CBN’s major rival network GMA, when Tito, Vic, and Joey (or TVJ, as the “Eat Bulaga“ presenters were normally called) announced in 2023 that they had irreconcilable differences with longtime producer, TAPE, Inc.
“Eat Bulaga“ eventually found its new home on the Manny V. Pangilinan-owned network, TV5.
