Stage for Bini’s Mega Concert Set at Big Dome

Star Music recently revealed the stage for the “Grand BINIverse” concert of the Filipino musical girl group Bini (alternatively spelled as “BINI”) that would be held at Manila’s Araneta Coliseum from Nov. 16 to 18.

The record label posted a video on X (formerly Twitter) showing what appears to be drone shots of the whole stage. It is understood that the stage is octagonal in shape at the center of “The Big Dome” as Filipinos called the coliseum. It also has a runway-like ramp on one of its sides.

“Besties! The stage is set, and so is the Nation’s Girl Group,” the caption read, referring to the description often attributed to Bini.

Araneta Coliseum, later renamed as the “Smart Araneta Coliseum,” hosted several historical events in the past, including several concerts from international musical acts and the famed “Thrilla in Manila,” the third and final fight night between heavyweight boxers Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier III in 1975.

Star Music is the record label of the Philippine media network ABS-CBN.

Social Media Responses to Stage Teaser

On both Star Music’s X account and ABS-CBN News’s Facebook post, Bini fans — colloquially known as “Blooms” for the girl group’s use of flowers and butterflies in its branding — have been swooning over the design of the concert stage.

“SHEESHABLE,” one reply tweet wrote.

“Those who would watch live are so lucky,” another commented.

“A world-class talent deserves a world-class stage,” a third quipped.

“[Bini is] the face of OPM right now,” a fourth concurred, referring to the group’s status in the Original Philippine Music genre.

Others have noted how popular the group is, which forced the organizers to make the one-day event extended into a three-day festival.

“Come to think of it, it’s a 360-degree stage, which meant Araneta would be filled to capacity and tickets for all three days [of the concert] have been sold out in a very quick time,” one user observed, writing in an English-Tagalog codeswitch.
