Road to Paris Volleyball Qualifier: Argentina Wins Over Bulgaria
The FIVB Road to Paris Olympic Volleyball Qualifying Tournament is currently taking place, and Argentina has scored a victory against Bulgaria in a five-set thriller earlier today, September 23. Argentina won three sets to two in Tokyo, Japan.
The tournament, which is having its preliminary phase as of writing, will determine which national teams will compete in the 2024 Summer Olympics. The 2024 Summer Olympics will take place in Paris, France.
Road to Paris Olympic Qualifier: Argentina Beats Bulgaria
The scores of both teams at the end of five sets are as follows:
Set 1: Bulgaria 14-25 Argentina
Set 2: Bulgaria 25-14 Argentina
Set 3: Bulgaria 20-25 Argentina
Set 4: Bulgaria 25-19 Argentina
Set 5: Bulgaria 16-18 Argentina
Argentina tallied a total of 54 attack points, 15 blocks, and seven serves. On the other hand, Bulgaria has more attack points at 62, but fell behind in blocking and service with eight and four points, respectively. Bulgaria gained 26 points from opponent errors, while Argentina gained 25 points.
Bianca Cugno is Argentina’s leading scorer for the game with a total of 20 points. 16 of those points are made on the attack, while she scored two points each on her block and service.
Bulgaria’s leading scorer is none other than Maria Yordanova, who scored a total of 19 points.
FIVB Road to Paris Olympic Volleyball Qualifying Tournament
The FIVB Road to Paris Olympic Volleyball Qualifying Tournament is taking place in three different host cities this year. As previously mentioned, one of these cities is Tokyo, Japan. The other two are Łódź in Poland and Ningbo in China.
