Kyobo Life Invests in AIFT and Forges Strategic Partnership to Deliver GenAI Vulnerability Assessment and Protection Solutions in South Korea

25 February 2025 – AIFT, a leading provider of AI safety and security solutions with a presence across  Asia and the Middle East, and Kyobo DTS, a prominent technology services group headquartered in South  Korea, today announced a strategic partnership to deliver GenAI Vulnerability Assessment and Protection  solutions in the South Korean market.

As part of this collaboration, Kyobo Life Insurance has participated in AIFT’s most recent fundraising  round as a strategic investor. This investment underscores Kyobo Life’s commitment to driving AI safety  and security innovation, positioning both organizations to address the rapidly evolving demands of  enterprise AI.

Following the passage of the Framework Act on Artificial Intelligence Development and Establishment of  a Foundation for Trustworthiness (AI Framework Act) on December 26, 2024—set to take effect in 2026— organizations in South Korea must identify, evaluate, and mitigate AI-related risks throughout an AI  system’s lifecycle, while also implementing a risk management system to monitor and address AI safety  incidents. AIFT’s Vulcan GenAI Attack and Protect platforms are designed to fulfill these regulatory  requirements through proactive security strategies and responsible AI development.

Under this new alliance, Kyobo Digital Technology Service (Kyobo DTS)— Kyobo Life’s technology and  digital transformation subsidiary—will collaborate on local sales and marketing for AIFT’s Vulcan GenAI  Attack and Protect platforms, while also developing integrated offerings tailored for South Korean  businesses. By adopting these solutions, Kyobo DTS enables enterprises in South Korea to reinforce their  AI safety and security posture, proactively identifying and countering emerging threats. In addition,  Kyobo DTS aims to accelerate its diverse solutions business, catering to both Kyobo subsidiaries and  external clients

Alex Leung, Co-founder of AIFT, remarked, “We see Kyobo Life’s strategic investment and group-wide  collaboration as pivotal in bringing GenAI Vulnerability Assessment and Protection solutions to South  Korea. Our joint efforts will help organizations anticipate and defend against emerging threats,  reinforcing our shared vision for secure, trusted AI.”

Changgi Kwon, CEO of Kyobo DTS added, “Partnering with AIFT strengthens our security offerings in the  South Korean market. By integrating AIFT’s Vulcan GenAI solutions, we can better equip our clients with  advanced, tailored technologies to safeguard their operations while navigating the evolving regulatory  and threat landscape.”

This strategic partnership between AIFT and Kyobo DTS underscores a shared commitment to innovation  and excellence in cybersecurity, positioning both organizations to address the growing demands for AI  safety and compliance in South Korea.
