Kevin Hart Responds to Katt Williams’ Insults with Humor on “NBA Unplugged”

In the latest episode of his ESPN series, “NBA Unplugged with Kevin Hart,” the renowned comedian, Kevin Hart, seemed unfazed by the recent barrage of insults from fellow comedian Katt Williams.

During the Friday premiere, where Hart provided commentary on the New York Knicks vs. Philadelphia 76ers game alongside his co-hosts, he took the opportunity to humorously address Williams’ explosive appearance on the “Club Shay Shay” podcast.

Making Light of Katt Williams’ Claims

In a light-hearted manner, Hart mockingly shared a series of outrageous and false “fun” facts about Williams. “Another fun fact about the New York Knicks… Katt Williams bought the Knicks,” he quipped, adding a playful twist, “It’s rumored that he took the Knicks back, returned them with a receipt.”

During another segment, Hart humorously asserted, “Known fact, Katt Williams has an NBA basketball court in his living room… he’s the first to embrace a true hardwood floor.”

Playful Jabs and Fact-Checking

In response to Williams’ interview, Hart labeled it as “horseshit” in one segment and teased a particular claim made by Williams on “Club Shay Shay” regarding getting accepted into college at the age of 7. With a laugh, Hart remarked, “You lost me at you got a college offer at age 7. Certain things I just can’t get past. I got two words for the world: Fact check it.”

In a later part of the episode, Hart referred to Williams’ viral interview as a “circus” after being teased by sports analyst Kendrick Perkins for not firing back at Williams.

“Do you entertain a circus, or do you watch it, Perk?” Hart laughed. “What do you do? You watch it. You go, ‘Man, look at that lion riding a bike.'”

Background of the Feud

The online feud between Williams and Hart escalated this week when Williams directed insults and accusations at various celebrities, including Hart. Williams accused Hart of being an “industry plant” who took shortcuts to success in his comedic career.

This public dispute isn’t the first between the two comedians. In 2018, during an appearance on “The Breakfast Club,” Hart criticized Williams for attacking the comedic abilities of Tiffany Haddish, a long-time friend and collaborator. Hart also accused Williams of having a history of not showing up to work due to drug influence. Williams vehemently denied these claims on “Club Shay Shay,” asserting that he had never used “hard drugs” in his life.

Hart responded to Williams’ “Club Shay Shay” appearance on X, expressing that the remarks were “honestly sad.”
