Jujutsu Kaisen’s Debut Fighting Game Set to Release in Early 2024

An announcement has been made by Bandai Namco regarding the release of Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash on February 2, 2024. The game will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC through Steam.

Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash, the inaugural fighting game adaptation of the well-loved anime and manga series, was initially revealed in July. In this game, players will engage in 2v2 battles with the iconic ensemble of characters.

Much like other anime-based fighting games such as Dragon Ball FighterZ and My Hero One’s Justice 2, Cursed Clash will feature 3D arenas. Additionally, it will include a story mode based on the anime’s first season and the movie, Jujutsu Kaisen 0. The game will also offer an online co-op and competitive mode, allowing players to challenge opponents worldwide or team up with friends in ranked or casual battles.

Upon its launch, the game will feature 15 playable characters, including Gojo Satoru, Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki, Maki Zen’in, Toge Inumaki, Panda, and Ryomen Sukuna. Players will have the option to unlock alternate costumes for these characters either by playing the game or through forthcoming DLC. Additionally, face cards will be available for profile customization.

The specific DLC content will vary based on the edition of the game chosen by players. Details of each edition, including their respective content, are available for review. Pre-orders for the game have commenced. The standard edition offers players the iconic Jujutsu High First-Year outfit, while the ultimate edition includes a more extensive array of content, including the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death DLC inspired by the anime’s popular mini-arc.
