J-pop Superduo Yoasobi to Hold Singapore Concert in January 2024 for the First Time
Listen up, J-pop and Oshi No Ko fans. J-pop sensation superduo Yoasobi will hold their first Singapore concert in January 2024. This is something to look forward to next year.
Strait Times reported that Yoasobi, Ikura, 23, and composer Ayase, 29, will be staging their first concert in Singapore at the Resorts World Ballroom on Jan. 11 — this is part of their inaugural Asia tour.
Yoasobi is known for songs based on short stories. If you are a fan of Oshi No Ko, you are familiar with the opening song, “IDOL.” This song broke Billboard Japan’s record by topping its Hot 100 chart for 21 weeks straight.
Besides, their 2019 debut single Yoru Ni Kakeru, or Into The Night, got the attention of music enthusiasts, and it went viral after its release. In 2020, Yoasobi’s debut single atop the Billboard Japan Hot 100. This is also the first song in Billboard Japan’s chart history to surpass one billion streams in September.
Yoasobi’s Gunjo (Blue) and Kaibutsu (Monster) also gained success.
