Gordon Ramsay Meets PH Celebrity Chef Judy Ann Santos and Content Creators Abi Marquez and Tito Ry
Gordon Ramsay has arrived in the Philippines, and his visit has created a buzz for weeks. Today, he finally met a well-known celebrity and influence—Judy Ann Santos and Abi Marquez (our Lumpia Queen)—blessed with cooking skills. The two skillful women have been given a chance to show off their cooking skills to an award-winning celebrity chef.
Ramsay visited the Philippines for his eponymous upscale restaurant at a hotel in Pasay City. He interacted with his fellow chefs and food connoisseurs and hosted a cooking demonstration to make his visit memorable. According to the Inquirer, the chef is here to oversee plans to open more restaurants in the country.
As mentioned, he hosted a cooking demo today at a hotel ballroom. Famous content creator Ninong Ry and two more were invited to this event.
During the demo, Santos, Ry, and two other participants were asked to prepare a popular Filipino dessert: halo-halo. The participants brought their respective ingredients according to the source. Celebrity chef and award-winning actress’ halo-halo version contained nata de coco, fermented coconut juice, coconut milk, sesame, and cheese.

Beef Wellington With Lumpia Wrapper
On Saturday, our Lumpia Queen posted screenshots where Ramsay called her attention. In the thread, Ramsay asked Abi if she could make Beef Wellington with lumpia. Of course, our Lumpia Queen accepted the challenge.
Abi made a TikTok video of her preparation of Beef Wellington Lumpia. She documented the process and showed a short clip of her journey to the hotel where Ramsay stayed. The video shows how the PH version of Beef Wellington is fried (because it’s lumpia?).
Did Gordon Ramsay Love Beef Wellington Lumpia?
Let’s accept it. Not all fusion foods must exist. But the question here is, should Beef Wellington Lumpia exist?
In the video, Ramsay tasted Abi’s Beef Wellington Lumpia. After Ramsay takes a bite, he says:
“Visually, wow! That looks good. Listen, I’m really sorry but I don’t like it. I f***ing love it! That is a very posh spring roll. Delicious.”
“I’m taking this away so no one can steal it. I need a glass of wine with my lumpia.”
