Drew Arellano Undergoes Vasectomy — a Mother’s Day Gift for Iya Villania
Kapuso host Drew Arellano announced he underwent a vasectomy through his Instagram with his image wearing a hospital dress in an operating room. The host captioned the image: “Happy late and advanced Mother’s Day to my wife.”
A vasectomy is a surgery that prevents a man from getting someone pregnant. It is not common for men to decide to undergo this surgery, especially here in the Philippines. The procedure of this surgery includes cutting or blocking the tubes that carry sperm out of the body. It usually takes less than 30 minutes and is done with local anesthesia. It doesn’t change how sex feels or affect testosterone levels. Although vasectomy reversals exist, it’s best to think of it as a permanent decision.
Drew and wife Iya Villania are proud parents of five kids: Antonio Primo, Alonzo Leon, Alana Lauren, Astro Phoenix, and Anya Love.
