Drake’s Dad Reacts to Kendrick Lamar’s Grammy Win for “Not Like Us”

Drake‘s father, Dennis Graham, has responded to Kendrick Lamar‘s historic diss track, “Not Like Us,” which made history at the Grammys.

Dennis Graham’s Reaction

Following the awards show on Sunday night (February 2), the 70-year-old Graham, who is also a former musician, was asked by the TikTok account @joy.of.everything about his thoughts on Kendrick’s fiery song winning Record of the Year.

A dismissive response was given by Graham, stating: “I don’t care nothing about that shit. That ain’t got nothing to do with me. All the best to him, man. I don’t do that bullshit.”

As of now, no response has been made by Drake, who is currently out of the country preparing for an Australian tour.

Kendrick Lamar’s Grammy Sweep

A difficult night was experienced by those in Drake’s circle as “Not Like Us” secured victories in all five categories it was nominated for, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Rap Song, Best Rap Performance, and Best Music Video.

This achievement marked the first time a diss track has won a Grammy, making it the most decorated rap song in Grammys history. Additionally, Kendrick Lamar became only the second rapper to win both Record of the Year and Song of the Year—two of the “Big Four” Grammy awards—following Childish Gambino.

Kendrick Lamar’s Attire and Social Media Reactions

During the ceremony, an apparent jab was taken at Drake by Kendrick Lamar, who wore a denim jacket along with matching jeans—an ensemble commonly referred to as a Canadian tuxedo.

This fashion choice did not go unnoticed by viewers, with one social media user commenting: “Damn, this shit is comedy. Kendrick’s trolling is ELITE.”

Fellow rapper JPEGMAFIA also expressed amusement, tweeting: “LMFAO Kendrick is funny AF. He accepted his award for the greatest diss song of all time in a CANADIAN TUXEDO.”

Audience’s Reaction and Upcoming Super Bowl Performance

Further humiliation was dealt to Drake as notable figures, including Beyoncé and Taylor Swift, were seen dancing and rapping along to “Not Like Us” in the audience as Kendrick’s victories were announced.

No signs of relief appear to be in sight for the 6 God, as his fierce rival is set to make history once again within a week by becoming the first rapper to headline the Super Bowl halftime show solo.

The highly anticipated game, featuring a matchup between the reigning NFL champions Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles, is scheduled to take place on Sunday (February 9) at New Orleans’ Caesars Superdome.
