Ceres Liner Bus Falls Off a Cliff in Antique, Leaving 16 People Dead
A Ceres Liner bus with more than 50 people on board fell off a cliff in Barangay Fabrica in Hamtic, Antique, on Tuesday, Nov. 5. The bus was supposed to head to San Jose de Buenavista, Panay. Authorities said at least 16 people were left dead in the accident.
According to CNN, The Antique provincial government and Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) announced about 16 people died, while eight are in critical condition. Four are in stable condition.
Injured passengers were rushed to the Angel Salazar Memorial General Hospital.
Local authorities are still investigating the case and have yet to determine the cause of the incident.
