Are People in WWE Mad at Adam Copeland for Moving to AEW?
Adam “Edge” Copeland has revealed the reaction of people in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) to his move to All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Copeland sent shockwaves throughout the sports entertainment industry we he made his debut for the latter during its WrestleDream PPV.
In his debut appearance, the WWE Hall of Famer saved Sting and Darby Alin from Christian Cage, Nick Wayne, and Luchasaurus. He then shook hands with both Sting and Alin.
Adam Copeland Reveals WWE’s Reaction to His Move
In an interview with Sports Illustrated, the “Rated R Superstar” revealed that people in WWE are happy for him.
“I am so thankful for every aspect of my career, and I’ll be forever thankful for the WWE,” he said in the interview. “It was the only place I wanted to work. We reached a place where we’d done all we could do together. And I guarantee you this–they’re not mad.”
“I’m not mad,” he added. “I’ve received so many texts from the office, from the travel department, from the talent relations department, from the music department, from the performers, from the big suits, and none of them are mad. They’re happy for me. And I’m happy.
Copeland went on to say that “They’re going to continue to crush it, too. And I have more of an opportunity to help the entire wrestling business in AEW.”
His First AEW Dynamite Appearance
Copeland made his second AEW-related appearance on this week’s edition of Dynamite. The WWE Hall of Famer called out Christian Cage to the ring and questioned why the latter wanted to end Sting’s career.
The “Rated R Superstar” then revealed that he wants to be tag team partners with Cage once more. He said that he wants them to take on the great tag teams of AEW.
While Christian Cage initially appeared to have patched things with him by hugging him, he eventually told Copeland to go fuck himself.
