Matt Riddle is the Latest Talent to be Released by WWE

Matt Riddle is the latest addition to the releases made by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) this week. The sports entertainment company previously announced the release of Dolph Ziggler, Elias, Mustafa Ali, and many more.

During his five-year stint with WWE, the “Original Bro” won the United States Championship, Raw Tag Team Championship, and NXT Tag Team Championship. The Raw Tag Team Championship is the only title he has won more than once, having won it twice with Randy Orton.

The two formed a tag team known as RK-Bro, which was active from 2021 until Orton’s injury in 2022.

Matt Riddle Comments on His Release

The “Original Bro” has since shared his thoughts on his release from WWE. On his X (formerly Twitter) account, the former WWE Superstars said that he “just wanted to inform everyone that I’m no longer with WWE.”

“Thank you for the memories and opportunities,” Riddle says in his tweet.

“Also, thank you to all the fans for the support and love you give me every time I go out to the ring,” he adds.

Sexual Assault Allegations

The news of Matt Riddle’s release comes after he made headlines over sexual assault allegations he made against a police officer. The incident allegedly took place in New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.

Riddle made the claim in a since-deleted Instagram post. according to reports. The photo of the police officer who allegedly sexually assaulted him was included in it.

“Today was really weird and uncomfortable, and they made a point to make me feel small and useless,” he says in the deleted Instagram post.

Despite the removal of said post, authorities have already launched a probe into the allegations made by Riddle. No additional information has been provided regarding the matter.
